Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We're an out-of-network provider, which means we can focus completely on your family's needs without insurance limits. We can provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What are your fees?

Fees for evaluations, therapy, and parent coaching are tailored to your family's specific needs. You'll receive a Good Faith Estimate beforehand, so there are no surprises. You also save time and money with in-home therapy by eliminating travel and childcare costs.

What ages do you serve?

Our passion is working with young children (birth through age five) who benefit from family-centered support in natural environments. However, we also specialize in speech sound disorders for elementary and middle school-aged children, adjusting our treatment approach to meet their needs. In addition, we offer consultation, advocacy, and screen time wellness support for families of children of all ages.

My child didn't qualify for school-based services, will he be eligible through Capacity Speech Therapy?

Unlike schools, we aren't restricted by strict eligibility requirements. Instead, we focus on your child's unique needs and work with you to determine if Capacity Speech Therapy is the right fit. If it’s not, we are happy to provide resources or referrals to other community-based practices that may better suit your family.

What can I expect from the speech therapy sessions?

Each session is personalized to fit your child’s needs and your family’s daily life.  For little ones, we use your home routines and familiar spaces — no special toys needed — to create natural, meaningful learning. Caregivers (and siblings!) are encouraged to join in, as we focus on coaching you to support your child’s growth beyond the session.

For older kids, sessions are typically more structured and one-on-one, targeting specific speech goals in a quiet, low-distraction setting.
